POSITION SUMMARY: This position provides the primary and ongoing training for the Elite Line & Owner Line Sales Consultants, mentoring and improvement coaching for all new employees and internal transfers for the Sales Operations team. The secondary function to ensure maximum efficiencies and greater employee retention is to assist in the development and provision of on-going support training as needed to all departments within Sales Operations. Requirements PURPOSE OF POSITION: * Interviews, evaluates and recommends the hiring of new hires, as well as evaluates and recommends firing, advancement and promotion of employees under his/her supervision. * Teaches new hire training curriculums for the Elite Line & Owner Line training classes. * Trains and coaches Elite Line & Owner Line Sales Consultants during their initial 12-week training curriculum to meet and/or exceed the minimum sales performance standards. * Ensures sales rides are scheduled and performed for Elite Line & Owner Line Sales Consultants and Latitudes Consultants. * Provides demonstration and assessment rides as needed with assigned Sales Consultants. * Spends time with new hires to observe and demonstrate skills/techniques with assigned consultants as needed. * Achieves personal and departmental written objectives as provided or determined throughout the fiscal year. * Assists in the implementation and operation of sales motivation contests and special events/meeting assignments. * Assists all team members of Sales Operations in ensuring that all questions are answered in a professional, informative, diplomatic and correct manner. * Assess and evaluates progress of consultants during training period to Sr. Management of Sales Department. QUALIFICATIONS * Minimum of one-year industry sales experience. * Proven track record of success in sales and/or sales training. * Must be process oriented with attention to detail and the function of detail. * Self-directed and independent with projects but works as a team player. * Compelling leadership abilities. * Persuasive interpersonal skills to gain acceptance of an idea, plan, activity, service or product from guests, co-workers and subordinates. * Participates in proactive team efforts to achieve departmental and company goals. * Excellent customer service skills. * Strong oral and written communication skills * Strong work ethic and a high energy level. * Strong administrative, organization and planning skills. * Mastery of the use of appropriate interpersonal social styles and methods to inspire and guide individuals towards goal achievement. * Pursuit of continuous improvement to improve, enhance or increase personal knowledge and skills that will assist in job performance. EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE * High School Diploma or GED equivalent. * Higher education encouraged. PHYSICAL DEMANDS Minimal but the position does require the active presence of the Sales Training Manager throughout various locations. Must be able to stand, walk, sit, climb stairs, and talk for extended periods of time. Must be able to lift and/or move up to a minimum of 25 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include color vision, and ability to adjust focus. WORKING CONDITIONS The Sales Training Manager will divide his/her time between an air conditioned classroom teaching environment to a work office for administrative functions and outdoor/indoor observation and demonstration that may require visiting our timeshare units. The Sales Training Manager must be flexible to adapt to immediate changing situations and environments based on staff and guest needs. WORK SCHEDULE/HOURS * Typically, the schedule is five days on, two days off, 8am to 5pm, or "as needed" to accomplish special periodic scheduling needs.
